The Feminists of Today follows writer and feminist Tessel ten Zweege (1998), who is committed to fighting for equality, yet increasingly confronted with exhaustion and doubt. As conservative forces gain momentum and the fight against gender-based violence remains urgent, she begins to question how to sustain her activism without losing herself. In search of a more sustainable way forward, Tessel turns to her friend and role model Anja Meulenbelt (1945), a key figure of the second-wave feminist movement. While their lives and work share striking similarities, their approaches to activism and self-preservation differ profoundly.
